FAQ for Pay and Display Link

Why is the installation cost lower?

Mainly because there are fewer Parking Meters to install. A single Pay and Display Parking Meter will generally take the place of eight to ten Single Space Parking Meters significantly decreasing the number of installations. The installation of Pay and Display Parking Meters is simplistic itself with the meters being designed to simply bolt down to the sidewalk. The built in Solar Power and Wireless Modem means that the Parking Meter can be up and running (and generating revenue) almost instantly. These factors also remove the need for the expensive civil works involved in running either power or communication wires under a public sidewalk.

How long does it take to install?

Once the site is prepared, installation is almost a matter of bolting the Pay and Display parking meter to the sidewalk and initializing the Software. This can easily be accomplished in less than one hour by a suitably trained technician.

Do I need to run any wires?

No, the Pay and Display Parking Meters supplied by Precise are capable of all operations using Solar Energy; removing the need, and the significant expense, of running power lines under a public sidewalk. The low power wireless modem enables regular communication with a central management server.

Installations for disabled parkers

The recent specifications for people with disabilities require a maximum height of 48 inches for any areas of interaction. This is often a firm requirement for a municipal authority, although many suppliers cannot meet the requirements. Our Pay and Display parking meters are compliant to these requirements.
