The latest generation of Pay & Display meters, operating autonomously with solar power and wireless communications, provide a simple and efficient parking payment interface. The Pay & Display meters utilize wireless communication for on-line credit card authorization via banking services.  In the on-line mode, credit card transactions are authorized at the point of purchase. In this mode, each transaction is sent to a PCI Compliant Data Center and onto a bank clearing house for approval, using procedures similar to how credit cards are approved by a retail establishment.

Transaction integrity is also enhanced in an on-line mode, as transactions are not stored on the pay station. By eliminating the storage of credit card transactions the overall security risk to the client is reduced. Another advantage is that since the transactions are not stored on the pay station, there is almost no chance of lost or duplicated transactions - further reducing the exposure to fraud or lost revenue.

Frequently Asked Questions for Pay & Display

How long does it take to install?
Once the site is prepared, installation is basically a matter of bolting the Pay & Display parking meter to the sidewalk and initializing the Software.  This can easily be accomplished in less than one hour, by a suitably trained technician.

Do I need to run any wires?
No.  The Pay & Display Parking Meters supplied by Precise ParkLink Inc. are capable of all operations using solar energy, removing the need for (and the significant expense of) running power lines under a public sidewalk.  The reduced power wireless modem enables regular communication with a central management server.

What about installations for physically disabled Parkers?
The recent specifications for people with disabilities require a maximum height of 48 inches for any areas of interaction.  This is often a firm requirement for a municipal authority, although many suppliers cannot meet these requirements.  Our Pay & Display parking meters are 100% compliant to these requirements.
