System Administrator

5 Years of experience managing Domain & Active Directory preferably with Linux Experience:

  • Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)

  • Domain Name System (DNS) and Windows Internet Name Service (WINS)

  • Active Directory Lightweight Directory Service (AD-LDS)

  • Distributed File System (DFS)

  • Group Policy Object (GPO) creation, troubleshooting, and management

  • Ability to create basic PowerShell Scripts

  • ISCSI drive configuration and management

Must haves:

  • Experience in building, deploying, and administering directories related solutions: 5 years

  • Experience in managing and supporting Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016 platforms, including Active Directory and DNS: 5 years

  • Technical working competency with AD and Active directory related technologies like DNS, DHCP, WINS, AD CS, AD LDS, DFS, DFS-R, FRS and AD FS

  • Technical working competency with LDAP (protocol, functional operations, integration methods)

  • Experience with Active Directory operations and best practices, group policy management, etc.

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Active Directory-related issues (i.e., replication, name resolution)

  • Ability to write scripts (preferably PowerShell) to provide ad-hoc reporting and automation of tasks

Troubleshooting Tools:

  • Event Viewer

  • Open Resource Monitor

  • Server Recovery

  • Windows File and image backup 2008 and up 

Duties:

  • Manage AD daily operations

  • Correct and improve functionality and AD environment

  • Create backups

  • Monitor and improve performance

  • OS maintenance & Troubleshoot and takecare day to day Issues and requirement.

  • Create backup and disaster recovery for the Servers

  • Potentially servers will be migrated to VMWare ESXI (knowledge preferable but not required)

  • Manage Debian-based Linux web and application servers hosted on both physical and virtual infrastructure

  • Experience managing backup solutions such as Symantec, Acronis etc.…

  • Experience creating networks using VLANs 

Certifications:

  • College Degree

  • MCSE

  • CCNA (preferable)
