Service Technician

Summary: The Service Technician will be installing, training and maintaining our parking meters throughout the Ottawa Area.

Location: Ottawa, ON

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00/hour

Shift requirements: 3:30am to 12:00pm (Night shift)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Focus on completing service calls in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that constant communication is maintained within department

  • Provide feedback to the Supervisor/Manager on potential customer situations

  • Provide installation, maintenance and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory/region to assure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction and/or in compliance with the agreed upon Service Level agreements

  • Perform work on products and services of electronic parking machines, equipment and devices

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

Install, maintain and repair electronic equipment. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults. Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies. Handle all types of relays.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in electronics

  • Minimum of 7 years driving experience

  • Valid G class license

  • MUST know city of Ottawa

  • Must have scheduling flexibility (shift and on-call)

  • Must be punctual and self disciplined

  • Must be polite and have professional attitude

  • Positive, friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and personable

  • Ability to work independently and in team environment

  • General knowledge of computers

  • Must have a clean Driver’s abstract

  • Criminal and Credit clearance required

Experience:

  • Service technician: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Driving: 7 years (Preferred)
