Customer Service Representative - Grand River Hospital Freeport

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at the Grand River Hospital Freeport site in Kitchener. The CSR will provide guidance for anyone entering the parking lot and provide assistance as needed. This position requires strong customer service support, in a sometimes fast-paced environment, involving routine operations for the client.

Job Type: Full-time; Monday to Friday from 7:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: $14.00 /hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain on-site parking equipment functionality with 1st level equipment repair (training provided)

  • Perform Daily Site Inspections

  • Ensure parking office is clean and running well

  • Provide parking instruction/guidance/assistance to patients, visitors, and staff as needed

  • Ensure patients, visitors, and staff receive the correct pass or are registered properly

  • Troubleshoot any pass-related issues

  • Process cash, credit, and debit transactions, as well as any refunds, and perform daily deposits accurately and correctly

  • Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt and friendly manner

  • Demonstrate patience in all customer contact situations by providing a pleasant and professional tone and manner

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required

  • Cover main GRH location whenever required

Skills and Qualifications

  • Courteous with strong customer service skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

  • Computer navigation skills and PC knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

  • Ability to take initiative and be self-dependent and reliable

  • Tolerance for repetitive work

  • Skilled in multi-tasking and provides flexibility to adapt to changes quickly

  • Reliability and regular attendance are very important
