IT Support

IT  Support provides  computer support services both for software and hardware to employees and assists in maintaining computers, printers, peripherals and other office devices including backup, security and firewall management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing computer support services both for software and hardware to employees.
  • Setting up of computers and software, installation of various computer applications and programs.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze computer hardware and software problems.
  • Install, maintain and complete backup of servers and computers.
  • Assist in maintaining and upgrading of computer systems and determine upgrades needed.
  • Assist in implementing requirements for PCI compliance of the company.
  • Maintains inventory of computers and printers
  • Training staff and orienting them on how to use computer hardware and software systems.
  • Assists with technology planning through ongoing research
  • Other tasks as assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education: 

Diploma in Computer Science or Networking courses or equivalent combination of education and experience in computer systems technology.

Experience: 

Minimum 5 years and current experience as an IT Support  in a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices.

Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of computer software, hardware and networks
  • Knowledge of Windows servers and desktop products.
  • Knowledge of setting up computers, printers and other devices for users.
  • Ability to configure network devices including routers and firewalls.
  • Ability to support networked printers and photocopiers.
  • Working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communications.
